ShopAbouts is the fun way to window-shop the internet. Instead of searching for something specific, you wander: one independent store at a time — its products, its prices, its story — and you skip it, save it, or step inside. It’s built for the mood where you don’t know what you want yet, the way you’d stroll a street of little shops on a Saturday.
Why we built it
The internet is full of wonderful small businesses — hidden gem stores making candles, cookware, clothing, coffee — that you’ll never find because discovery online has collapsed into a search box and a handful of giant marketplaces. ShopAbouts exists to make finding them feel like fun instead of work, and to send real shoppers to independent brands. If you’re trying to support small businesses online, wandering here beats defaulting to the same big carts.
How stores get picked
Every store in the deck is independently reviewed before it appears: real catalog, real products, quality photography, and a working storefront. We curate for the kind of shops you’d be delighted to stumble into — no pay-to-play, no placement fees. Stores can also ask to be listed, and every submission goes through the same review.
The important fine print
ShopAbouts is an independent discovery project. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with the stores shown. Product information comes directly from each store, prices can change, and every purchase happens on the store’s own site under its own policies. We simply make the introduction. If you run a store and want your listing updated or removed, email us and we’ll take care of it promptly.
